So I went and made a game for Ludum Dare 27. The theme was 10 seconds, which was a little disappointing, as you may remember I actually made SD10 for the very same theme a few years back.
However I'd already been brainstorming a game for the 'glitch' theme, and decided to hybridize the two, utilising my previous experience and all the glitch aesthetic research I did for Thalidomide and a couple of more recent experiments.
The result, after about 12 hours of work in a stupidly busy weekend, was A_VOID. A glitchcore avoid-em-up about escaping collapsing glitchy dimensions witin 10 seconds. It worked really well and I'm pretty pleased with it, and would dare say it's some of my best work game wise. Sadly, due to my insistence on/necessity of using outdated tech, there's a crash bug when you die (or something else related to multiple sounds playing at once.) If you're on an OS older than Windows 8 you're probably fine. This may indicate that I should start looking at upgrading my development materials.
Anyway, it's available from here, enjoy!
